The mind is a strange and influential place. If we surrender our mind to evil, then there is no limit to our corruption. This is why we are commanded to guard our heart and mind. However, many temptations attack our minds, which is what Scripture warns us about in 1 Jn. 2:16, the "lust of the eyes."
