In Scripture, God has provided many analogies of His relationship with humanity. Today's sermon examines the relationship of architect and building. God is the architect and the builder, and we are the building. Just like a physical structure is built in phases, God builds a relationship with humanity in phases, culminating in the New Heaven and New Earth where God will be with His faithful ones permanently.
