Without God, we have no hope. What is hope? As someone once said, "Hope is faith applied to the future." We have confidence in the future promises of God. In fact, we can claim those promises as if they have already been fulfilled. When God promised the coming Messiah in the Old Testament, it was a ray of hope to those living in dark days.
